Resumen

The Socialist government talks a lot indeed about the necessity of changing our economic growth model and yet it has done very little about it in recent years. And, just like in so many other fields, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero’s kind speech in this area seeks only to evade a necessary debate of immediate measures that would inevitably be much more controversial. Further evidence of this cynical approach is that, the more the Administration talks about its ambitions, the more it curbs the budget allocation to innovation, the less it tries to increase the quality of our education system, and the more it abandons our production sectors.
